Beginning Friday, November 20…

The Moline Public Library building will be closed to the public. Online and phone services, curbside pick up of materials and a small computer lab (available by appointment only) will still be available. See below for more details.


Although the library building is closed to the public, service hours will continue; Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm for phone reference and 10:00am to 4:00pm for Curbside Pickup. Both services will also be available Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

Curbside Pickup

Curbside Pickup will continue after reopening.  Curbside hours are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday and 9:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday. For information on how to request materials via curbside pickup, see our Curbside Pickup page.

Library Programs 

Programming for all ages will continue to be virtual at this time. All programs are listed on our events calendar.

Public Computers

Computers will be available for one session per person, per day during the following time slots:

Monday – Friday

  • 9:00 am – 10:00 am
  • 10:20 am – 11:20 am
  • 11:40 am – 12:40 am
  • 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
  • 2:20 pm – 3:20 pm
  • 3:40 pm – 4:40 pm


  • 9:00 am – 10:00 am
  • 10:20 am – 11:20 am
  • 11:40 am – 12:40 am

Unfortunately, due to the limited number of computers and sessions available, walk-ins will not be allowed at this time. Please call us at (309) 524-2470 to reserve a computer. Patrons entering the building to use a computer must wear face masks that cover their mouth and nose for the entirety of their visit.

Meeting Rooms & Study Rooms

Meeting Rooms and Study Rooms are currently unavailable.  


Wifi access will continue to be available in the Library’s parking lot.


Our Adult and Children’s information desks will be staffed and ready to take your questions.  Call the Information Desk at 309-524-2470 during service hours.  Questions can also be submitted online via our website.

Fine & Fee payment

Fines can be paid by accessing your account in the PrairieCat Catalog or by calling the library at 309-524-2450.

Copiers, Scanner & Public Faxing

Copy machines and faxing are currently unavailable. A public scanner is available in the computer lab located in the Gold meeting room off the lobby.

Passport Services

Passport services are not available at this time.

Book Returns

The lobby book return will be unavailable, but the drive up book return on the east side of the library is open 24/7.  Please deposit all returns in the drive up return.  All items returned will be isolated for a minimum of 72 hours.  Late fees will not be assessed during the isolation period.

Donations of Books & Magazines

We are unable to accept donations at this time.

Java Lab

Java Lab Grind and Dine Café is open for carryout and curbside service, Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm and Saturday, 9:00am to Noon.
